Storm Relative Mean Velocity  Image

This view samples the movement of precipitation within storms to determine areas of rotation (mesocyclones), tornadoes, and microbursts.  Green coloration indicates particles are moving towards the radar site and red coloration means particles are moving away from the radar site.

Vertically Integrated Liquid

A remote measurement of the MASS of liquid. Used mainly for predicting hail and hail size.  Purple and White Coloration typically means hail is present, but much more is needed to determine how likely the hail is to reach the surface and its size.
